Este passeio convida você a viver a emoção e a majestade de subir até a cratera do vulcão mais ativo da América do Sul, em uma caminhada de 4 a 5 horas que atravessa paisagens impressionantes e vistas incomparáveis.
A rota começa na estação de esqui do setor Juncalillo, a 1.200 m acima do nível do mar, e sobe até 2.847 metros, passando por trechos de terreno vulcânico, neve e gelo, conforme a temporada. A descida pode ser feita caminhando ou deslizando de forma controlada sobre a neve, o que dá ainda mais emoção à volta.
Pontos a Visitar: Base Juncalillo, trecho intermediário e final até a cratera do Vulcão Villarrica.

Trecho inicial (1.800 m a 2.100 m) – 2 km aprox.: Terreno de pedra solta ou neve, inclinação moderada. Uso de crampons se houver gelo.
Trecho médio (2.100 m a 2.500 m) – 2,5 km aprox.: Terreno mais íngreme, neve compacta ou gelo. Uso obrigatório de piolet. Pausas técnicas.
Trecho final (2.500 m a 2.847 m) – 1,5 km aprox.: Inclinação de até 45°, vento intenso. Uso de máscaras por causa dos gases antes da cratera.
Descida: Caminhada ou deslizamento na neve (“culipatin”). Tempo estimado: 2 a 3 horas.
