- For this program, the purchase of two entrance tickets to Conguillío National Park is required: one for the Conguillío sector and another for the Sierra Nevada sector. Both belong to the same park, but to different access points within it

➜ Sollipulli Volcano Ascent
The Sollipulli Volcano Ascent offers a deep and challenging mountain experience in the Melipeuco area, reaching the summit of the volcano at 2,282 meters above sea level, where one of the most impressive views in southern Chile is revealed: its great caldera with an inner glacier and an open panoramic view of the Andes Mountain Range together with multiple volcanoes in the region.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Melipeuco, heading toward the starting point of the trek to begin a progressive ascent through forests of Coigüe, Lenga and Araucaria Trees, continuing toward volcanic scoria terrain and, during the winter season, snow-covered sectors where technical equipment provided by the operator is used.
Along the route, unique ecosystems are explored where it is possible to observe Araucaria Araucana Forests, Parasitic Craters and geological formations typical of the volcanic environment. In addition, there is the possibility of spotting the flight of the condor or hearing the characteristic sound of the Magellanic woodpecker in its natural habitat.
During the winter season, the experience becomes even more intense with the contemplation of the sunset at high altitude, followed by a nighttime descent with headlamps, creating a unique moment in the mountains before returning to the accommodation.

Day 3
➜ Full Day Conguillío National Park
The excursion to Conguillío National Park allows you to discover one of the most impressive ecosystems in southern Chile, recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful forests in the world according to National Geographic. This territory combines ancient araucaria forests, volcanic-origin lakes and landscapes dominated by the imposing Llaima Volcano.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Melipeuco, heading toward the park to visit the Truful Truful Canyon Geosite, where a walk is made to the Truful Truful Waterfall. Afterwards, the route continues to Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), where part of the geological and natural history of the park is explored.
During the day, Laguna Arcoíris (Rainbow Lagoon) is visited by following its trail surrounded by submerged forests and unique colors, reaching the historic site Casa del Colono (Settler’s House), home of the first inhabitant of Conguillío National Park. Later, the route continues to Lake Conguillío, in the Playa Linda sector, one of the most representative landscapes of the destination.
Finally, volcanic geosites such as the Pyroclastic Bombs Geosite are visited, helping to understand the origin of the landscape and its evolution. The experience combines vehicle routes with short walks, adapting to the conditions of the day and ending with the return to the accommodation.

- On very specific occasions, access may be affected by snow on the road. In these cases, it may not be possible to reach Lake Conguillío by vehicle, so that section will be done on foot. The estimated times for this route are 45 minutes outbound, 30 minutes of rest to enjoy the surroundings and 45 minutes back

➜ Sierra Nevada Viewpoints Excursion
The Sierra Nevada Viewpoints Excursion allows you to explore one of the most emblematic trails of Conguillío National Park, crossing ancient araucaria forests and reaching natural viewpoints with privileged views of the lake, volcanoes and volcanic scoria fields.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Melipeuco, heading toward the start of the Sierra Nevada trail, where a hike begins that combines sections under native forest with open sectors at higher altitude. During the route, viewpoints such as Conguillío Viewpoint, Los Cóndores Viewpoint and Sierra Nevada Viewpoint are reached.
From these points, it is possible to contemplate Lake Conguillío, Laguna Arcoíris (Rainbow Lagoon), Llaima Volcano and extensive volcanic landscapes. Depending on the season, the surroundings change completely, with autumn standing out for its colors and winter for the presence of snow and animal tracks such as foxes and pumas.
During the hike, strategic stops are made for rest, meals and contemplation of the surroundings, where it is also possible to observe the flight of the condor or the presence of the Magellanic woodpecker. Once the experience is finished, the descent and return to the accommodation take place.
