➜ Tour through the Pucón Area and Huife Hot Springs
The tour through the Pucón area allows you to explore some of the most representative landscapes in the natural surroundings of Pucón and Caburgua, combining natural viewpoints, crystal-clear lagoons and a moment of relaxation at the Huife Hot Springs, located on the banks of the Liucura River, in the La Araucanía Region.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Pucón, heading toward the Caburgua area, one of the most visited zones in the region for its lake landscapes and abundant native vegetation. Along the route, several panoramic points and natural attractions are visited, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings, including short walks along natural trails and viewpoints.
During the day, emblematic places such as Quelhue Footbridge, Ojos del Caburgua (Caburgua Springs), known for their turquoise-colored pools formed by underground filtrations from the lake, Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon), Fish Viewpoint and Lago Caburgua (Caburgua Lake) are visited. Afterwards, the experience continues at the Huife Hot Springs, where there is free time to enjoy its natural thermal pools before returning to the accommodation in Pucón.
➜ Volcanic Caves of Villarrica Volcano
The Volcanic Caves of Villarrica Volcano excursion allows you to explore the fascinating volcanic world of the La Araucanía Region, discovering geological formations created by ancient eruptions of the imposing Villarrica Volcano, known in the Mapuche language as Rucapillán, one of the most active volcanoes in Chile.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Pucón, heading toward the northern sector of Villarrica National Park, located approximately 10 km from the city center. The first stop is at the Casa de los Volcanes, an interpretive center where it is possible to learn about the geological history of the volcano, its eruptive activity and the natural features of the surroundings that shape this important icon of the area.
Afterwards, accompanied by a certified guide, the exploration of the volcanic caves begins, formed by ancient lava tubes generated during past eruptions of Villarrica Volcano. During the walk inside the cave, it is possible to observe lava stalactites, rock formations, collapsed vaults and secondary channels, in a natural environment that allows for a direct understanding of the volcanic processes that shaped this landscape. After the visit, the return to the accommodation in Pucón takes place.
➜ Hiking Lagunas Andinas – Villarrica National Park
The Hiking Lagunas Andinas excursion allows you to explore one of the most fascinating mountain landscapes in Villarrica National Park, in the Puesco sector, near the border between Chile and Argentina. This route combines high mountain hiking with the observation of lagoons of glacial and volcanic origin, surrounded by native forests and panoramic views of the Andes mountain range.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Pucón, heading toward the mountain sector of Villarrica National Park. The starting point of the hike is located near Laguna Quillelhue (Quillelhue Lagoon), from where a trail begins that crosses native forests, ancient volcanic terrain and high mountain landscapes characteristic of the area.
During the hike, several Andean lagoons are visited, including Laguna Escondida (Hidden Lagoon) and Laguna Huinfiuca (Huinfiuca Lagoon), each with particular characteristics depending on the season. In winter, it is possible to observe partially frozen areas, while in summer turquoise tones and the contrast with mountain vegetation stand out. Throughout the route, there are also panoramic views toward Lanín Volcano, one of the most imposing volcanoes in the Andes mountain range. Once the hike ends, the return to the accommodation in Pucón takes place.
➜ Palguín, La China and El León Waterfalls
The Palguín, La China and El León Waterfalls excursion allows you to discover some of the most impressive waterfalls in the La Araucanía Region, located in the Palguín sector, just a few kilometers from Pucón, near the road to Curarrehue. This excursion takes place in a natural setting characterized by ancient native forests, abundant vegetation and high waterfalls, which are part of the most representative landscapes of southern Chile.
The excursion begins with departure from your accommodation in Pucón, heading toward the Palguín Alto sector, an area known for the presence of numerous waterfalls descending from the mountains. During the route, it is possible to appreciate forests of native species such as Robles, Coigües, Ulmos and Raulíes, as well as typical southern flora such as nalcas, ferns and copihues, which accompany the path toward the different waterfalls.
During the excursion, three main waterfalls in the area are visited. The route includes short walks to natural viewpoints that allow each waterfall to be observed from different angles. Among them, El León Waterfall stands out, with approximately 90 meters in height, considered one of the most imposing in the area. La China Waterfall, with nearly 73 meters of drop, is surrounded by lush vegetation. Palguín Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall located in Palguín Alto, is surrounded by native vegetation and accessible by a short trail leading to a natural viewpoint from where its waterfall can be appreciated in a peaceful and natural setting.
