Snowshoe Walk on Villarrica Volcano
This half-day adventure starts in central Pucón and heads for the base of the mighty Villarrica Volcano. In winter the landscape turns into a blanket of white, perfect for exploring on snowshoes, which let you walk easily over fresh or compacted snow in the unique surroundings of Villarrica National Park.
Accompanied by expert guides, you cover a circuit of 2 to 4 kilometres depending on the group’s pace and the weather. The route offers panoramic views of the volcano, Lake Villarrica and forests of coihue, ñirre and lenga, reaching a maximum altitude of around 1,200 m above sea level.
